SMOKE TESTING OF THE SANITARY SEWERS
Starting May 20, 2019 and running through May 24, 2019, the Somerset County Sanitary District will be conducting smoke testing and repairs of the sanitary sewers in the following locations in Crisfield.
Lawsonia Rd, Bill Gaylon Lane, State St, Asbury Ave, Clarence Mitchell Rd, Walter Jones Rd, Freedomtown Rd, Lauren Ct, Georges Lane, Old State Rd, Chesapeake Ave and Rayfield Lane.
To prevent smoke from entering your home, run water into all drains the day before the Smoke Test is scheduled. The smoke should not enter your home unless a problem exists in the plumbing of that home. Presence of smoke in your home should be reported to the Somerset County Sanitary District Employees in the field or by calling the main office at 410-651-3831. Please avoid unnecessary exposure to smoke if it occurs in your home. The smoke is harmless but may be irritating to nasal passages. Any smoke irritation will be temporary and should quickly disappear after exposure has ceased.
For more information you can call the Somerset County Sanitary District at 410-651-3831 or Earl Ludy at 410-651-0268.
