All types of performances are welcomed, written word, music, and rap have all taken place at Sharnell's past open mics.  Sharnell tackles real-life topics while combining religious background, and her dramatic flair for story-telling to hip-hop music she entices the listener to participate in the experience by seeing through her eyes - and maybe, by reading their own poetry in this receptive setting.
